Position Overview:
A logistics and facility manager oversees all of the activities that relate to logistics, product updates & quality assurance, and the buildings of the organization in bid to make them operate as efficiently as possible.


Location: Miami/Medley area

Essential Job Functions:
Logistics

  • Demonstrates experience of managing customers, vendors and other program stakeholders in the delivery of complex project requirements to cost, schedule and quality.
  • Coordinates and controlling the order cycle and associated storage and movement of goods between the warehouse and various sites.
  • Analyzes data to monitor performance and plan improvements in delivery performance
  • Root cause and analysis and problem resolution for all logistics operations
  • Responsible for all logistics operations and support across all distribution channels
  • Drives the design, development, implementation and management of logistics solutions for customers
  • Manages the team of logistics personnel charged with the task of order preparation and fulfillment. This team is responsible for all inbound and outbound logistics, order preparation
  • Ensures warehouse staff is well-trained and supervised for their job in the logistics area
  • Coordinates with all required freight carriers including negotiating prices and conditions regularly for the benefits of the company
  • Detailed competitive benchmarking vs competition
  • Gather VOC (voice of customer) and VOS (voice of sale) and  convert feedback into detailed feature specifications
  • Hands-on evaluation of new products with CoI Tech Team. Compile detailed feedback for R&D.
  • Manage alpha and beta programs for software product introduction
  • Generate a launch kit for new product introduction
  • Drive USA versions of Technical and Marketing collateral including brochures, A&E specs, webinars
  • Conduct monthly webinars on new products/features
  • Market analysis of their technology as it relates to competition, general needs and trends
  • Vertical market positioning of the core products they manage
  • Price and positioning analysis
  • Product portfolio rationalization, management and gap analysis
  • Support of the sales and technical team with quotes and questions as needed
  • Support in trade show and convention needs
  • Develop specific vertical solutions (initially Retail, Finance Education)
  • Phase in/phase Out Logistics Planning
  • QA/RMA data analysis for corrective actions

 

Product Updates and Quality Assurance

  • Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams
  • Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, to include build phases through quality checkpoints and testing
  • Develops and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams
  • Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments.
  • Assures the viability, functionality and effectiveness of essential tools

 

Facility Management

  • Assesses the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment
  • Ensures that all the equipment and other facilities are working properly
  • Develops a system for cleaning, repair and maintenance of facilities
  • Ensures the safety of the building or establishment from fire, earthquake and other hazards
  • Prepares pertinent records and reports for the safety service division of the institution
  • Maintains the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive overall logistics management experience with specific experience in a project management role
  • Ability to communicate with others in an effective and concise manner.
  • Process strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution/solving skills
  • Following and implementing health and safety procedures in the department

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics orbusiness management
  • At least 5 years experience in logistics and facility management
