Position Overview:
The position of Sales Engineer is critical to the daily and long-term operations of Universal Protection Security Systems (UPSS). This position requires direct interface with customers, distributors, Financial Departments.


A sales engineer is a key person when it comes to UPSS interactions with its external and internal customers.  The sales engineer is the person that provides product and service guidance to UPSS customers.


Location: Greenville, South Carolina

Essential Job Functions:
The key duties of this position include sales and marketing of commercial, industrial, and institutional CCTV/video, PC-based card access control, and alarm systems. The position requires knowledge of products sold by UPSS, knowledge of safety and installation standards, knowledge of electrical requirements for system installation, and preferred supervisory/managerial skills.

 

  • Reports to the Branch Manager.
  • Monday through Friday or as required. Overnight travel may be required.
  • Interface with project managers, technical service representatives / other sales engineers to provide feedback on manufacturer products and services.
  • Designs electronic security systems and prepare sales proposals for customers.
  • Review and participates in major bids.
  • Assist in managing and controlling costs of sales that become work orders.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a system for establishing requirements for potential customers, manufacturers, or distributors.

 

Edcation and Skills Required

This position requires a BS or AA in Electronics Engineering and/or relevant experience. Good computer knowledge and interpersonal skills required. Other essential skills include the ability to interact with a wide variety of customers, team player, self-starter, honesty and integrity required in all dealings, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Electrical/construction experience is helpful.ols

 

Compensation
Base salary in the $60K's with full company benefits plus auto allowance.
