JOB TITLE: Central Station Manager, Information Technology & Central Station Infrastructure

SUMMARY

The Manager of Information Technology & Central Station Infrastructure is responsible for the oversight of the company’s Information Technology, Telephony and Central Station Operating Systems. The Manager of Information Technology & Central Station Infrastructure will plan, coordinate, direct and design all operational activities related to the IT Department; the security and functionality of the company’s central station Infrastructure; and the operation of the company’s three 24/7/365 monitoring centers. The Manager of Information Technology & Central Station Infrastructure will provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations, by working closely with decision makers within the company to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective, reliable and secure technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This individual will also define and implement the company’s IT Policies, IT/Infrastructure Security & Disaster Recovery Procedures and Best Practices.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hands-on deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all central station-related IT and alarm monitoring equipment and software
  • Hands-on oversight, programming and maintenance of all alarm-receiving hardware, and the company’s IP-based phone system
  • Hands-on programming and oversight of the company’s alarm monitoring software and automation systems
  • Monitor the company’s IT/Internet/Websites/IP Alarm Networks to ensure connectivity and security of each for the operation, and within and between all monitoring centers/locations
  • Maintain proper system security so that confidential or sensitive information is safeguarded and that all HIPAA, and PCI Compliance requirements are met
  • Design and implement IT/Alarm Monitoring Solutions, and Custom Database Reports, specific to the needs of the company and its network of dealers
  • Ensure optimum utilization of the IT resources of the company
  • Monitor system performance, and set targets for the department
  • Act as a liaison with other departments within all divisions of the company, as well as with individuals and departments within other family-owned businesses.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies and continue to develop innovative strategies and ideas to increase the organization’s competitive advantage in the market place
  • Work directly with hardware and software partners to evaluate and implement technical solutions as warranted
  • Recommend suitable software and hardware upgrades for the company
  • Design and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices for the company

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 10 years experience working as a System Administrator/IT Manager
  • Minimum 10 years experience working in an operational and/or technical capacity at an alarm central station
  • Extensive and proven experience in the following areas:
  • Alarm Receiver configuration, deployment and troubleshooting Monitoring Automation Software configuration, maintenance and administration (Bold Manitou, SGS, MAS, and SureView?IMMIX software Platform experience preferred)
  • IP-based phone systems (Tadiran experience preferred)
  • TCP/IP Networking
  • Telephone/Alarm Receiver connectivity, networking, routing and troubleshooting
  • Remote programming of alarm panel software and equipment
  • Remote programming and monitoring of managed video and access software and equipment
  • Microsoft SQL programming and custom scripts/reporting
  • Create and modify batch files and Powershell scripts
  • Perform advanced administrative tasks on Windows and Linux-based servers, including Active Directory Maintenance
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of a corporate Information Security and Disaster Recovery Plan

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to submit to a criminal background check and drug test prior to employment
  • Willingness to be on-call 24/7/365
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to adapt and ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-stress environment

 

COMPENSATION: $115K Range ++ Incentives


THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE 50% TRAVEL BETWEEN LANCASTER, PA, LAS VEGAS AND SAN ANTONIO.
